Who I am
I am a passionate Academic who would love to contribute to a better World by teaching Leadership and Researching in Work-Family.
I am a Professor at IESE Business School –University of Navarra, Spain-in the managing People in Organizations Department. I teach MBA's, Executive EMBAs and Global Executive MBAs, as well as Executive Programs and Custom Programs, in Spain and abroad.
I currently serve as the Director of the International Center for Work and Family, a research Center with collaborators in 23 countries.
I studied my Bachelor’s Degree as an Industrial Engineer from the UPC in Barcelona, and I earned my MBA from IESE Business School in 2003. I got a Doctorate in Business Administration from Boston University. I work at IESE since 2003.
I do my research in areas related to Work-Family issues, such as Work-Family Supportive Supervisor Behaviors; Idiosyncratic Deals (I-Deals); and Work-Family cultures.
I published in major research journals, such as the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Relations, and Human Resource Management Journal, among others.
I publish on practitioner outlets such as Financial Times, Harvard-Deusto Business Review, Rotman Management Magazine, and IESE-Insight Journal.
I have organized and chaired the 4th, 5th, 6th 7th and 8th International Conference for Work and Family, at IESE, a Conference which gathers over 80 participants from over the world, with key lead Work-Family researchers. I have also organized and co-chaired the 1st and 2nd International Conference on Women and Leadership at IESE.
I'm passionate about teaching executives, about researching in work family and women leadership, and about networking for developmental purposes.
